Panic Button information
Here you will find details on the Panic Button installation, setup for alerts, sample email alert and some recommendations.
INSTALLATION
Highlighted here a button is installed on the dashboard of the vehicle.
This button here is red but we have various colours available
The button is wired to be connected to the telematics device
Once the button is pressed the telematics device sends a signal to the Transpoco system
SYSTEM SETUP FOR ALERTS
The alerts from the panic button can be configured to be send to one or multiple email or SMS recipients
Different vehicles or groups of vehicles can trigger different recipients
All panic button alerts would be recorded and available in report form for further analysis if required
Authorised admin users could review and configure alerts as required
SAMPLE EMAIL ALERT
Please see below is a sample of the email that would be generated with the location and time of the PANIC BUTTON being pushed
PLEASE NOTE
The workflow for the Panic Button relies on the following….
Connected device (if in a blackspot the device may not send signal until back in coverage) areas such as carparks etc may dull the signal
Recipients’ setup correctly in the Transpoco system
Email and or SMS recognising the Transpoco email addresses (not spam etc)
We recommend that there is a regular scheduled test of all panic buttons (scheduled monthly or bimonthly is recommended)
