Transpoco provides a valuable service to electric car drivers and the entire electric car industry by collecting and sharing information about charging stations.
The next step is to identify opportunities for overnight charging at home, at work and on the road. Overnight charging at home and at work can be done with a simple Level 1 or Level 2 charger. Level 1 charging is done through a standard household 120V outlet and typically gives you a range of 3to 5 miles per hour of charging. Level 2 charging is done through a 240V outlet and usually requires installation by an electrician, but will get you a range of 10-20 miles per charging hour. You can think of it as filling up your tank in 30 minutes instead of 30 hours.
