The challenge

Actavo operates a fleet of more than 1,500 vehicles and employs over 5,000 people across 100 locations worldwide. The company delivers a wide range of services including Network Solutions, In Home Solutions, Industrial Solutions, Hire and Sales Solutions, Building Solutions and Event Solutions.

Managing such a large fleet presents important operational and safety challenges. Like many organisations operating high mileage fleets, Actavo faced significant costs related to road incidents and driver safety.

The solution

Transpoco implemented its Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which includes an AI powered dual channel dash cam with built in fatigue and driver distraction detection.

The solution provides real time alerts directly in the vehicle cab, helping drivers immediately correct unsafe behaviour. At the same time, fleet managers receive detailed event notifications and video evidence through the platform.

The results

Following the implementation of the Transpoco AI camera solution, Actavo achieved significant improvements in fleet safety.

Accidents across the fleet were reduced by 50 percent, with further reductions expected over time as safer driving behaviour continues to improve. The company also achieved cost savings of up to €450 per vehicle per year through reduced accident related expenses and improved operational efficiency.

Due to the success of the project, Actavo began rolling out the solution across its entire fleet.
