Vehicle tracking technology, SynX and Archway products, one of our customers, have been between the topics of RTE programme "Nationwide".

The main topic of RTE’s program “Nationwide”, first broadcasted on February 3rd, was “Innovation” and featured one of our customers, Archway Products (but also SynX and vehicle tracking!).

Archway Products are leaders in road repair and maintenance machinery, and are active in the UK and Ireland. Their products provide customers with a range of affordable, efficient road repair alternatives (particularly appealing to small businesses or local authorities who are under budget constraints). They are offering the latest technology to deal with the most common, but troublesome road defects such as cracks and potholes.

In the program, Liam McNamee explains how the company developed an innovative road repair technique for fixing potholes, and preventing them. In the second part, Donal McNamee, Liam’s son, explains how he gradually implemented IT technology, by having drivers send him vehicle information which he collates into reports for the benefit of customers. With the information provided by SynX and vehicle tracking technology, he is able not only to record the activity of the vehicles together with their position and times of certain activities, but also to generate a number of reports which involve vehicles operating both in Ireland and in the UK.

In Liam’s own words, “This [referring to SynX] will allow us to see what the machine is actually doing at any particular moment and time, who it is being driven by, the location, the speed that it is going at, and it will also give us a number of reports, historical reports on any of those machines, so we will see where the machine was working and what repairs have been done.”

The kind of information that SynX is able to provide for Liam’s fleet has helped many other fleet operators not only in locating their vehicles, protecting them and creating activity reports, but also in guaranteeing high safety standards, making significant savings on their global fuel costs and in being law compliant. If you are looking for similar advantages for your business with a complete fleet management solution, reach out to us—we can show you how SynX works!
