FTA Ireland has recently promoted the TruckSafe™ compliance standard, that completes the series started with VanSafe and PassengerSafe. The scheme will audit operational compliance in the areas of road safety, haulage operations, roadworthiness, working time and environmental efficiencies through the 3 levels of bronze, silver and gold.

This new standard is surely going to drive a culture of professionalism and compliance to support the integrity of haulage and distribution services. Particularly, gold and silver levels pay more attention on how fleet operators manage fuel purchasing and consumption, with members undertaking an annual audit on these.

The whole process grants recognition for the fleet companies and team for the work being done in favour of compliance and safety standards.
